Board Member
Growing up as an athlete taught me the value of fitness, teamwork, and staying active. As a mom of three, a certified personal and group trainer, and a teacher with over 17 years of experience in physical education and sports medicine, I love sharing my passion for sports and health. In my role as Girls' Athletic Director, I work to help young athletes build confidence, learn leadership skills, and grow both on and off the field. Watching our lacrosse players develop their skills and love for the game is one of the best parts of what I do.

Maddy Trimpi

Coach Maddy is a dedicated lacrosse player and coach with a lifelong passion for the sport. Originally from Vermont, she has been playing lacrosse ever since she can remember. She currently serves as the president of the UCSC Women's Club Lacrosse team and helps coach the Los Gatos Girls Lacrosse team. As a Plant Science and Art major at UCSC, Maddy is finishing her degree this spring, combining her love for sports with an academic focus on nature and creativity. Maddy is committed to empowering athletes to reach their full potential while fostering teamwork, confidence, and a positive, inclusive atmosphere on and off the field.
Maija Kastrud

Hi! My name is Maija and I am a Junior at Santa Clara University where I play on the SCU club lacrosse team. I grew up outside Boston in Marshfield Massachusetts and have been playing lacrosse for almost 13 years. I played for my high school and was named captain my senior year! I love lacrosse and am so passionate about it. I cannot wait to grow my lacrosse family and share my passion for the sport!
Amelia Ailanjian
Co-Head Coach U14
Amelia is a sophomore at Santa Clara University, where she plays goalie on the SCU lacrosse team. She has been playing lacrosse in the Bay Area for seven years. Amelia played for her high school team and was named captain her junior and senior year! She is eager to share her passion and support young athletes.
Courtney Sugano
Co-Head Coach U12
Court is a fourth year at UC Santa Cruz studying Global Community Health- Biomedical and History. She currently plays on the UCSC Women’s Lacrosse team. Court is originally from Los Angeles where she’s played for her middle school and high school teams.
Lauren Wingerdin
Co-Head Coach U12
A Bay Area native, Lauren grew up playing for San Jose Extreme, starting with the club at age 8. She has over 10 years of playing experience and continues to compete post-collegially, most recently representing the U.S. team in the Italy Lacrosse Cup. Lauren began coaching since 2018 and has worked with athletes at every level, from U8 through the collegiate ranks. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Biology and is looking forward to returning to San Jose Extreme to work with the next generation of players.

Hi! I’m Coach Kate and I’m currently a junior at Santa Clara University but am originally from Boston, MA. I am a psychology major with a journalism minor and am on the women’s club lacrosse team at SCU. I have been playing lacrosse since I was in first grade and have loved it ever since! Outside of lacrosse and school, I love going to the beach, playing with my dog, board game nights, and hanging out with friends.
Ardyn Mittleman

Hi! My name is Ardyn Mittleman and I am from Gilroy, California. I attend Archbishop Mitty high school and I have been playing lacrosse with Verve and Extreme since seventh grade. I love to go to the beach and hang out with friends in my free time. Can’t wait for the spring season!
