Charity Wooden - Girls' Director

Charity Wooden grew up in Milpitas, California. She is a life-long fitness advocate.  At the age of 12 she received her 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. She attended Milpitas High School and played basketball all four years. She is a 15-year high school physical education teacher and mother of three. Charity believes that fitness and activity are the keys to a joyous and healthy lifestyle. She holds a bachelor of science degree in Athletic Training from San Jose State University.

Allie Korst

Allie Korst grew up in Marin County, California, and graduated from Sir Francis Drake High School in 2019. Allie played 4 years of varsity lacrosse and basketball and was awarded MVP for 2 years in both sports. Allie is now a sophomore on the Santa Clara University women’s lacrosse team and majoring in Economics. She plays midfield with a focus on taking the draw. Allie was awarded Rookie of the Year on her team and is very excited to continue her lacrosse career at SCU.

Sophia Duran

Sophia has been playing lacrosse since she was 12 years old and began coaching in 2020. She is currently a senior at Prospect High School and plays for the Verve Lacrosse HS Mint team as a defender who loves to look for interceptions. She loves to coach, meet new players, have fun, and win! Off the lacrosse field, Sophia enjoys playing varsity field hockey and spending time with friends and family.

Harper Polhemus

Harper began playing lacrosse at 8 years old in the NCJLA and continues to play to this day. She’s currently in 12th grade and plays on the Archbishop Mitty lacrosse team. She has also played club for Verve Lacrosse on the HS Mint team for the last couple of years as a midfielder and defender. She enjoys coaching, working with kids, and motivating others to love the game.

Wesley Katayama - Boys' Director

Coach Wes started his lacrosse career joining the NCJLA as a youth coach back in 2005. He has been involved with the sport of lacrosse ever since 2005 working for various teams, camps, and companies within the Bay Area including: Bellarmine College Prep, Santa Clara University, Los Gatos HS, San Francisco Dragons (MLL), San Jose Stealth (NLL), Sling-it Lacrosse, Easton Lacrosse, Lorne Smith Lacrosse Camps, Nike Lacrosse Camps, Team NorCal, ADVNC, All-West Lacrosse, and 3D NorCal. 

 

He is currently the Head JV coach and Assistant Varsity coach at Bellarmine College Prep.

Joe Romano

Joe Romano is a native of Media, PA and was an all-league midfielder at Penncrest High School. He was a two-time captain at Whittier College. After graduating in 2000, he served as an assistant coach for two years. In 2003, he was the founding head coach of the Division 2 program at Notre Dame de Namur University and in his last year as coach of the team, 2007, the team was ranked 7th in the nation. He was an assistant coach for the NLL’s San Jose Stealth 2008-2010 and for the MLL’s San Francisco Dragons for the 2007-2008 season. He was head coach at Bellarmine College Preparatory from 2011-2014, when he shifted into the role as Athletic Director. Currently, he is a college counselor at Bellarmine and sits on the board for the Northern California Chapter of USA Lacrosse.

Vincent Su

A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Vincent played 4 years as a defenseman for the MCLA club team. After his collegiate career, he coached at the high school and club levels in Orange County. Currently, Vincent has played for the Palo Alto Ducks while pursuing his Doctorate in Chiropractic.

Kyla Kippen-Mallais

Kyla is a junior at Leigh High School. She has been playing lacrosse for six years and has loved every second of it. She plays for Verve HSMint and Extreme HS. In addition to lacrosse, Kyla plays varsity ice hockey for Saint Mary’s High School. She is so excited to work with the girls and help them grow their skills and love for lacrosse!

Rocco Reginelli

Rocco has been playing lacrosse since the 4th grade. He currently attends Bellarmine College Prep and is a senior on the varsity lacrosse team. He has played lacrosse for clubs such as ADVNC, Good Vibes, and Red Hawks. As a coach, Rocco wants to teach others about the game he has grown to love.  Outside of lacrosse, Rocco is the captain of the Bellarmine ice hockey team.

Elisabeth Yu 

Lizzy picked up her first lacrosse stick in 2010 and hasn’t set it down since. She played in the NCJLA for six years before transitioning to the Varsity Lacrosse team at Los Gatos High School her Freshman year.  She has played year-round on the Verve Lacrosse HSMint team for the last four years as a defender with a laser focus on defending the crease.  She has verbally committed to play lacrosse at Chapman University.

Owen Pence

Owen is currently a Junior at Bellarmine College Prep, and has played for teams such as Bellarmine, ADVNC, Good Vibes, and Firehawks. Owen first started playing  when he was 7, and has been playing for almost 10 years. Outside of lacrosse he enjoys skiing and ice hockey. Over the summer, Owen likes to spend his time playing lacrosse and spending time with family in New England. His favorite thing that he enjoys about coaching is seeing the day to day progression of each player, as well as watching the team become best friends.

Joe Yu 

Joe began playing lacrosse at 4 years old with his older sister, Elisabeth, practicing with her team for two years before he was allowed to play in the NCJLA on a BU9 team at 6 years old.  He continued to play in the NCJLA through 8th grade. Joe has been on the 2025AA ADVNC team for 5 years and is on the ADVNC SF2025AA, SFNDP2025, and SFNorCal 2025 team.  He also participated on the 2025 World Series Lacrosse team in 2021 as a midfielder. Joe currently plays Varsity Lacrosse at Bellarmine College Preparatory.

Keira Dodd

Keira currently plays volleyball, varsity lacrosse and varsity basketball at Los Gatos High School. She has played on the Verve Lacrosse HS Mint team for the past three years and is in the recruiting process to play in college. 

Keira loves to coach lacrosse.

Olivia Geoghan.jpg
Olivia Geoghan - Goalie Coach

Olivia is a current Stanford University goalie. She is a two time (2021 and 2022) Pac-12 Champion, Tournament Champion and Academic Honor Roll recipient. As a 2020 graduate from McDonogh School in Owings Mills, MD, she is a four time letter winner completing an undefeated season as the number one ranked team in the country. Olivia was the number one recruit in the country in 2020 according to Inside Lacrosse.
