Kate Cortese

Kate originates from Baltimore, Maryland where she was a four year varsity starter in lacrosse and a four year varsity basketball player at Mount de Sales Academy. After high school, she continued playing lacrosse at the University of Delaware. As an attacker, she was a four year letter winner, twice named to the America East All Conference team, selected to the All Tournament Team in 2000 and scored over 100 points in her career.


After graduating from college, she attended the University of Maryland dental school where she met her husband, a native of California. Upon their graduation they moved to California and have settled in San Jose. They have five kids keeping them busy with lacrosse, soccer and baseball.

Allie Korst

Allie Korst grew up in Marin County, California, and graduated from Sir Francis Drake High School in 2019. Allie played 4 years of varsity lacrosse and basketball and was awarded MVP for 2 years in both sports. Allie is now a sophomore on the Santa Clara University women’s lacrosse team and majoring in Economics. She plays midfield with a focus on taking the draw. Allie was awarded Rookie of the Year on her team and is very excited to continue her lacrosse career at SCU.

Allie DaCar

Originally from Pleasanton, Ca, Allie is a Bay Area native who keeps finding her way back. She started playing lacrosse in eighth grade, became a goalie because she didn't want to wear a skirt, and never looked back. She attended Amador Valley High School, where she was a two-time high school All-American in 2013 and 2014, and captained her team to a North Coast Section championship win in 2014. 


Allie continued her lacrosse career into college, where she was the four-year starting goalkeeper at Stanford from 2015-2018. At Stanford, she earned all-conference team and all-academic team recognition 3 of 4 years, IWLCA all-west-region recognition in 2016, and was named the first ever Pac-12 tournament MVP as a senior in 2018.

Sofia Storlazzi

Sofia is currently a junior at Santa Cruz High School where she is an active member of several clubs and the varsity tennis team.  She began playing lacrosse in the NCJLA in the third grade.

In 2016, she joined Team Norcal as a member of their travel team.   In 2019, Sofia made the Verve Lacrosse HSMint team as a defensive player. She currently plays lacrosse on the Extreme Lacrosse high school team. 

In addition to playing field lacrosse, Sofia has played box lacrosse for Cali-Lax All Stars and is a US Lacrosse certified Junior Official.  She hopes to help foster a true love for the game of lacrosse in young girls.

Wesley Katayama

Coach Wes started his lacrosse career joining the NCJLA as a youth coach back in 2005. He has been involved with the sport of lacrosse ever since 2005 working for various teams, camps, and companies within the Bay Area including: Bellarmine College Prep, Santa Clara University, Los Gatos HS, San Francisco Dragons (MLL), San Jose Stealth (NLL), Sling-it Lacrosse, Easton Lacrosse, Lorne Smith Lacrosse Camps, Nike Lacrosse Camps, Team NorCal, ADVNC, All-West Lacrosse, and 3D NorCal. 


He is currently the Head JV coach and Assistant Varsity coach at Bellarmine College Prep.

Hussna El-Yacoubi "Coach Lola"

Lola played attack for her varsity high school team in Northern Virginia. In 2009 she and her team were State Champions. Lola’s leadership and commitment to physical and mental excellence separated her from the pack early on and led to her successful career in lacrosse and business. She went on to compete in triathlons while she was a student at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Now, she's coaching women's lacrosse and encouraging young women to push themselves to not only be better athletes but also better leaders.

Vincent Su

A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Vincent played 4 years as a defenseman for the MCLA club team. After his collegiate career, he coached at the high school and club levels in Orange County. Currently, Vincent has played for the Palo Alto Ducks while pursuing his Doctorate in Chiropractic.

Landon Zafiropoulo

Landon Zafiropoulo started playing lacrosse when he was in third grade. He quickly fell in love with the sport. He started playing for NorCal Lacrosse and is now a senior at Bellarmine playing Varsity attack. Landon is very passionate about lacrosse. He loves to help others improve at the game. While off the field, Landon enjoys playing basketball and learning about investing.

Patrick Cronin

Patrick first picked up a lacrosse stick in 4th grade and has been in love with the game ever since. He was a leading goal scorer at Loyola Academy in Illinois and throughout his three trips to the state finals, was able to secure one ring. He currently plays for the Santa Clara Mens lacrosse team and is starting his Junior year. Patrick has coached club lacrosse for Team One and Str8 Lax achieving success with a wide range of age groups. He is an offensive and defensive midfielder and has a wide range of expertise.

Elisabeth Yu 

Lizzy picked up her first lacrosse stick in 2010 and hasn’t set it down since. She played in the NCJLA for six years before transitioning to the Varsity Lacrosse team at Los Gatos High School her Freshman year.  She has played year-round on the Verve Lacrosse HSMint team for the last four years as a defender with a laser focus on defending the crease.  She has verbally committed to play lacrosse at Chapman University.

Matthew Rix

Matthew started playing lacrosse in the NCJLA 8 years ago. He's played for several different teams in the South Bay Area. He's currently in 11th grade and plays on the Bellarmine College Preparatory lacrosse team. He's been an attackman his entire life and is excited to pass along his knowledge to the next generation of lacrosse players. Outside of lacrosse, Matthew enjoys skiing and biking.

Joe Yu 

Joe began playing lacrosse at 4 years old with his older sister, Elisabeth, practicing with her team for two years before he was allowed to play in the NCJLA on a BU9 team at 6 years old.  He continued to play in the NCJLA through 8th grade. Joe has been on the 2025AA ADVNC team for 5 years and is on the ADVNC SF2025AA, SFNDP2025, and SFNorCal 2025 team.  He also participated on the 2025 World Series Lacrosse team in 2021 as a midfielder. Joe currently plays Varsity Lacrosse at Bellarmine College Preparatory.

Keira Dodd

Keira currently plays volleyball, varsity lacrosse and varsity basketball at Los Gatos High School. She has played on the Verve Lacrosse HS Mint team for the past three years and is in the recruiting process to play in college. 

Keira loves to coach lacrosse.
